About Being a Pessimist

This page on the desktop calendar caught my eye as I walked in a bit earlier today.

I would have readily agreed with this a couple of years ago but not so in this moment. Because this too is another of those old belief systems which is no longer valid for me.

Being optimist/pessimist are but two sides of the same energy coin and one can be transformed to the other. Even the optimists go through phases in life when they are enveloped by the darkness of pessimism. So what?? When the clouds of pessimism hover in your life, be a pessimist. Do not fight them, that's all.

This page now looks like this:

And so it is.

Osho's view on Sadness

It was a pleasant surprise for me when I saw this in yesterday's edition of The Times of India:

Well, well!!! Now, why on earth did I not read Osho twenty years ago?

Synchronicity of the moment

This page on the table calendar caught my eye this morning the moment I stepped in.

Now isn't that something? Funny how these things happen. Just when we are getting around to discussing these very issues.

More on Acceptance of the Negative

I wish to draw attention to the following lines in the last paragraph taken from this newspaper clipping: "They found that paradoxically, low self-esteem participants' moods fared better when they were allowed to have negative thoughts than when they were asked to focus affirmative thoughts."

More on Living Without Food

I came across the following while going through my collection of newspaper clippings collected over the last few years. Thought these were worth sharing:

The following was in a local newspaper and is the story about a young woman who reportedly has not eaten any food grains since 17 years and is still healthy.

There is still a lot that we have to learn about the human body.

Living on Air - Follow Up

The following article appeared in the 7th May, 2010 Ahmedabad edition of the Times of India as a follow up to the earlier story:

Amazing stuff!!!

Living on Air

The following article appeared in the Ahmedabad Edition of The Times of India, 25 April, 2010:

I remember  a similar research was conducted on the same person at the same hospital back in 2003 also.
You can read all about it at:

There is also the case of Shri Hira Ratan Manek who was also the object of a study conducted by Dr. Sudhir Shah back in 2001.
You can read about it at:

I think that the Doctors and the Scientists will not find anything until and unless they shift their perspective from the Physical Body to the Consciousness and the Belief Systems of the individuals being studied.

Anyway, I am waiting for the results to be made public as this issue is quite close to my heart too.

Man Grows New Skull

Came across this interesting story in the newspaper recently.

Absolutely amazing what all a human body can do when left to heal on its own.

I am interested in getting to know this person's Thoughts Patterns, Belief Systems, Consciousness Level etc. so as to study the link between these and this apparent miracle.

Stay Fit with Deep Breathing

It was a pleasant surprise when I saw the cover page of the September, 2009 edition of the Reader’s Digest. A main stream magazine like RD promoting Deep Breathing for Fitness – wow!

A few months ago when I was picking up the children at school, another mother I knew well rushed up to me. Emily was fuming
